  • Introduction

Transportation systems (Cars, Aircrafts, Ships, Trains, etc) are increasing around the world. On the other hand, GHG (Green House Gas) issue is also increasing. Reducing of CO2 and NOx is important subject today. An EV (Electric Vehicle) is one of solving system for GHG. However, EV system is not able to drive for long traveling because of low energy density of the battery. Therefore, to using an ICE (internal combustion engine) may be continuing for Hybrid-EVs or conventional vehicles for long driving by using high density energy (Fossil fuel) for future. More reducing emission gas from ICE (Gasoline, Diesel, Gas turbine) is important for sustainable power unit. This special issue is to improve the dissemination of advanced research in the area of ICE that can be sustainable power plant.
    Aims and Scope:
    1. Engine control
    2. Hybrid control
    3. Emission
    4. Thermal efficiency
    5. After treatment
    6. Energy management
